Trying to further fill in the blanks with my own memory-dreams. Anyone else have comparable memories? Was able to substantiate the details of space themed dreams and some strangeness with crystals. And was there some form of Adrastai present here as well?

Aelveron

As with Sel’ar, the Elenari are not sure what they called this Homeworld when they lived there, but the name "Aelveron" feels right to many who remember living there. Aelveron had lavender skies, two suns and two or three moons, magic, and a higher tech level than Sel’ar, including space travel and crystal information storage. Aelveron had cities on the edge of crystal clear aquamarine seas, snow-capped mountains, and country villages with houses built in trees. In the mountains there were waterfalls and pools of glowing water. Important features of Aelveron were the huge, sentient Trees that were friends, teachers, and important allies of the Elenari. On the edge of the capitol city of A’Lia’Thaliss stood Aerenndelor, a huge, multilevel forest of such Trees.

10:25 am - Research Project Help

Hello,  I am in the process of writing a research paper for my cultural anthropology class and I am needing to interview individuals of the sub cultural I am researching.  I have chosen to research Otherkins and I am hoping someone will be willing to take a few minutes to answer my questions.

Some of these might seem mundane but I promise they reflect directly to what I am required to cover in my paper.  I have tried to word these as not offend anyone but I might have failed, so if something is offensive I apologize in advance and if you would explain how it is offensive that would help me greatly.  As of right now everything I have found is either from a book or what I have read on the internet so I am at a disadvantage. Here goes.

1.  Is your identity as an Otherkin as a whole, more or less important than you identity as a specific creature?  Do you feel more connected with people of your own identity or simply otherkins as a whole.

2.  How does your identity as an otherkin affect your daily life?

3.  Do you feel that your friends and family understand the meaning of your otherkin identity?

4.  Have you awakened?  And if so would you tell me about it?

5.  What otherkin do you identify with?  Has this changed over time or have you always been the same creature?

6.  I have read that there are some biological explanations for a blending of species.  How do you feel about these explanations and does it matter to you if this can be explained by science?

7.  Do you practice a specific religion?  If so what and how does it affect your otherkin identity?

8.  How has identifying yourself as an Otherkin improved your life?

Once again I appreciate all the help I can get.  I have to turn my paper in the beginning of December so the sooner a response can be sent the better.

07:08 am - Connection to the Corruption?

I was thinking about a dream I had about a year ago. In this dream people were becoming infected with something called the Wicked, at least that's what it was called in my dream. In my dream this created like a second skin over people though it was dark. Not many people were able to see this second skin on the people but it changed the person who it infected. There was two types, one where the second skin covered the mouth and the other that the second skin had a mouth. The one with the mouth was able to make others of their kind where the ones without the mouth could not. Now I was able to see the second skin and I was able to strip it off of people. This caused the person pain when I did though.

Now this dream wasn't a memory as far as I can tell. It was set in my town during the present or maybe near future. Anyway, could this be related to the Corruption or could it be the Corruption? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

12:25 am - A bit of a memory?

Well earlier I think I had a bit of a memory come through. It was a little dim and I didn't see a lot of detail. What I saw was something that looked like the stargate from the Stargate series (though it may have just been my mind's interpretation) and fireballs literally raindown on us. I think I may have been trying to prevent the fireballs from hitting us but I think I may have not done that great of a job.

Could this have been a memory from the end of Sel'ar? A'hri'l, Torlinque, Tolirion, or anyone else, does this sound familiar? If so please tell me.

Hello, my name is Hanna Trinity Ruarc or maybe it's Ru'arc, not sure. I'm a mix of Human and Elf though I'm not sure what type of Elf but I hope to find out. I have something that happened a couple years ago if memory serves me.

One night I found myself in a place that felt like home to me. I know I was out of my body during this. The grass and trees were a deep vibrant green, the sky was a pearlescent sheen like the inside shell of a clam or oyster, and there was stone architecture that I though was Greek or Roman. A woman wearing a vibrant blue robe came up to me, I think she might have been an Elf, and we started talking. She had seemed upset and by the time we were done talking she seemed a little less upset. I can't remember exactly what we said. Suddenly I found myself in a Walmart parking lot for some odd reason. After that I was back with the woman only we were in some sort of house. It seemed like some sort of cottage. We were cutting up vegetables for some reason when a guy suddenly came in. He was wearing a brown tunic and pants and he said something was coming. I can't recall what he said they were but I know they were bad news. I got the impression that they were dark creatures. I didn't see how things worked out since I came back to my body.

Does this sound familiar to any one here?

I'm Lauren (online name is DazedWolf), and I'm hoping to find out more about what I am beginning to believe was a prior life I lived in an Elven world. Problem is, I don't know where it was. Many things sound similar to an Elenari world, Sel'lar, but I'm just not sure.
If anyone sees any similiarities in the following with your memories, would you please let me know?

Hi guys. Newbie to the community here. *waves* I just wanted to drop in and post something, kind of a two fold purpose to it really - firstly to introduce myself (I thought it might be a bit rude if I just started posting and commenting without it) and secondly to ask some opinions on something.

So, to the first one - My name is Lindariel, and I'm 23 yrs old and living in Australia. Originally from England but I am cursed with a wandering nature and have somehow ended up over here. Not that I can complain, I feel quite at home here in the heat. Always had a problem with the cold weather elsewhere, and I have to admit that the 40c+ temps in summer didn't appear to phase me too much. Much nicer than shiverring to death back in England (or roasting my friends and family to death by putting the central heating on full whack 24/7).

Anyway, moving on - I've been aware of being Otherkin for quite a number of years now but have been mostly doing the exploring by myself. Its nice to meet others like myself now and then though. I identify as Elenari, although to be perfectly honest I have no clear indication as to why other than the way some of my own 'recollections' seem to relate to others, minor things mostly, or how the stories of others seem to resonate strongly with myself.

Now, the second purpose of my post was to share one of my earliest 'memories', both in respect to age (past life) and the time at which I 'remembered' it (for lack of a better word). I just want to know whether anyone else has any recollections of something similar and if so where/what it may have been. I have my own thoughts on it, but I always prefer to get a 'second opinion' on some things, or at least see whether anyone else recalls something similar. 

The place I am asking about was a collection of large building made from some kind of white or very pale grey stone. They were situated on the slopes and peak of a large hill and the road to the place ran around the base of the hill, and branched off into a fork about half way around: one fork taking a traveller up towards the buildings, the other continuing on around the slope to somewhere else. The building itself was, I think, a collection of buildings although only one set actually stood out forefront in the memory. And that was made up of two, large square shaped 'towers' that were connected by an arch. This arch spanned across the pathway and through the arch was a large courtyard was visible. I don't recall any gates beneath the arch, but I guess if they were there they were most likely open and I probably wasn't paying too much attention to them (I was a bit antsy at the time). 

Anyway, walking up to stand beneath the arch I looked to my right and found a large wooden door set into the wall of one of the 'towers' (although I'm not sure that towers is the right word... they weren't gigantically tall but they were quite long and wide). 

That about describes the place, if anyone is interested in seeing it in context with the actual dream you can take a look at the Journal Entry. I really would appreciate any comments should anyone have anything they can add that might help, or if it perhaps sounds similar to something anyone else has witnessed.

To be honest, I'm a little nervous about asking - I'm still going through the 'you're just crazy' stage, or at least thinking that people think I'm crazy anyway... ^-^ But it's been bothering me for a few years now and I just have the urge to ask.

Sorry if this is long winded, but its something I would like to share, and I think its worth explaining a bit of background as well, first. I would very much appreciate your thoughts on this..

12:34 pm - I was wondering if anyone could identify who these people may have been (race/ tribe/ whatever)

 I did get a memory/vision through last night, I THINK  (am pretty sure) its to do with my Elenari life.

In it, I saw a deep chasm, with a flat bridge passing across, and the other side was "someone elses" land/ territory. We (group of Ardrastai and villagers) were all further back along the cliff, following a trail and looking west towards the bridge. 

(At this point in 2008, Mum came in with a cup of tea, but I got a sequel a few minutes later, when I relaxed again!)

 We were then crossing the bridge, and on either side of the bridge were these people, taller than most of us lot, in grey cloaks, carrying tall spears. While they were being very disciplined, I could also sense they were pleased to see us. 
I wonder who "they" were? Any ideas? Their long grey cloaks were definitly part of a uniform.

 It just piqued my curiosity. :)
